While la maison bleue strives to offer 5-star-amenities, it is neither a hotel nor a pension, but a small private residence that is operated as a (luxurious) bed & breakfast with the following guidelines:
All reservations have to be prepaid by credit card and are non-refundable in case of cancellation. Paid reservations can be transferred to a later date free of charge, subject to availability.
At your arrival at la maison bleue, you will be asked to show an id (identification document) for the registration (in accordance with french law).
Payment for the room(s) has to be made upon reservation or, for walk-ins, upon arrival. Such payment includes all service fees and taxes, but not extras such as drinks taken in the bar. Credit card details may be stored as a guarantee for extras consumed during the stay.
Check-in time is 3 pm; however, we will always strive to give you access to your room as early as possible.
The room has to vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure (to facilitate the final cleaning of the room). If you check out after that time, we will be obliged to charge you for an extra night.
Breakfast is available from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon in the dining room or on the terrace. French breakfast for two (consisting of a coffee/espresso/cappuccino, a croissant/pain au chocolat and a freshly squeezed orange juice) is included in the room rate.
We provide in each bedroom suite a nespresso espresso – and cappuccino maker that guests may use free of charge; 4 capsules from caffè vergnano will be provided free of charge during each stay, more are available for purchase upon request. A tumbler with water is provided each day free of charge. All items provided in the mini bar are provided free of charge (once during each stay). The honor bar functions on the honor principle: we kindly ask guests to note their consumptions which will be charged at the rates of our drinks menu.
Contrary to most other b&b’s, we do provide selected bath products for the use of our guests during their stay. However, we kindly ask you to not take them with you as they are not included in the room rate.
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or anywhere else indoors. All bedrooms are equipped with smoke detectors. You are allowed to smoke on the terrace.
Rooms are cleaned every day. We kindly ask you to safely store your personal belongings to facilitate the cleaning process. We do not assume any liability for any valuable items left in the room.
Bath towels and bed sheets are changed every three days.
To avoid unpleasant surprises, we kindly ask you to not throw anything but toilet paper into the wc. Please use the dedicated bin for other bathroom trash.
Please remember that water is precious; we kindly ask you to try not to waste it, especially in summer when this region often experiences serious water shortages.
Room keys (including the key fobs) have to be returned at the end of the stay.
We kindly ask you to not remove any of the items from the bedrooms suites incl. Bath towels, bed sheets, books or anything else belonging to la maison bleue. Obviously, damaged or lost items will be charged to the guest’s account.
Selected items in the bedrooms are available for purchase upon request. We will be happy to communicate to you prices for any items you might be interested in, including vintage books, art works, decorative items or antique furniture. Delivery may take 4 – 8 weeks and has to be paid extra. Hästens beds can be ordered directly from a hästens store, allowing our guests to benefit from our preferential vip welcome and – rates. The same applies to orders for electric heaters or towel holders from campa, hangers and other clothes accessories from the hanger project, or coffee from caffè vergnano.
Please avoid leaving personal belongings in the corridors or other common areas. La maison bleue is not responsible for any personal items left unattended.
Dogs are welcome at la maison bleue; an extra cleaning fee of € 25 will be charged for each accompanying pet, and permanent damages causes by guests’ dogs will be charged to the guests’ account.
Due to the small size of the rooms, we are unfortunately unable to provide children’s beds. Small children under the age of 6 may sleep in their parents’ beds, older children have to be booked into a separate room (subject to availability) at the current room rate.
The staff of la maison bleue is on-site from 8:30 until 12 noon and from 5:30 pm until 9 pm. During this time, we will be happy to accept your orders from our drinks menu.
While we do not offer a professional concierge service, we will be happy to give you our advice regarding possible activities and excursions in the region during our on-site hours (see below).
Outside these on-site hours, you can reach our staff in emergencies (!) under +33 (0)7 86 03 27 48.
We will provide each guest with a main door key for access to the property around the clock. We kindly ask you to be considerate to fellow guests and village neighbors in the early/late hours.
Please note that for the safety of all, the common areas of la maison bleue (excluding the bedroom suites) are under video surveillance and that all guests acknowledge and agree to such.
A hair dryer and a ventilator are being provided free of charge on simple request.
We kindly remind you that la maison bleue is not a hotel, but a private residence, and we would appreciate if you treated it with the same respect you would naturally show any other private residence.
